Q: Will he toe the mark?
A: Not if he can find it.

Do NOT miss David Gordon's re-imagining of his 1982 piece "Trying Times" at Dance Theater Workshop through December 20th. Parts of it are hilarious -- as in the quote above during a mock trial of his postmodernist tendencies -- and one duet was so beautiful I got tears in my eyes.

31 Grand is closing

Sad news from one of my favorite galleries: 31 Grand is closing and is having a final one-day show on Saturday, December 20th.

Megan Bush continues to work as an independent stylist while chasing after Polly the chihuahua and 4-year-old Henry. Heather Stephens continues to art direct at the Wall Street Journal and is joining Black & White Gallery in Chelsea.

I'm doing a server move, and I accidentally used the notifications feature to send emails to about 20 people. My bad.

For those that read James's post on Eyal Danieli's show at Elizabeth Harris Gallery and would like to have one of his works at a reasonable price, here is a chance. Element Editions has released an edition of 16 unique prints by the artist for $450. Go get one before they're all gone.
